DesignerCon covers all aspects of design and art including it's root elements in the vinyl toy industry. The show has grown to support apparel, plush design, printing, sculpture and art ranging from fine to urban.

Index Ink will be on hand at this years Dcon showcasing limited editon artist series shirts by Chad Carothers. Chad will also be on hand painting live and showcasing new art,prints,toys and more. Look out for a secret mystery release if all goes well.

Well, made it back stateside and woke up enough to do a wrap up of the trip. It was a super busy ,but super fun time. Pics are worth more than words they say, so enjoy these random pics of things I caught throughout my stay.

Tokyo Day 5

Today I completed the painting, was interviewed on TV and met a lot of cool people. The show was a success. It was a long two days painting the amount that I did, but in the end it speaks for it's self. More pics to come.

Tokyo Day 4

Today was the opening day of the show, Interstyle, and was a long but good day. Most of the day was spent drawing out the composistion of my paintings. I started laying in the background colors toward the end of the day and will move right along tomorrow. I finished up the day with a nice traditionl dinner with my Japanese distributors and on that note I'm out till next time. Enjoy.

Tokyo Day 2 and 3

I had to go to the art store to get supplies for my painting later this week. The art store had what I needed and then some. On the way back I cruised thru the infamous Harajuku district and checked out some of the shops. Day three consisted of traveling to Yokohama to set up and prepare for the show.

Arrived in Tokyo Day 1

After a long flight I finally got settled into my hotel and despite the lack of sleep, felt the need to wander around the streets. This place is unlike any other. The amount of people piled into the city is astounding and pictures hardly do it justice. I was also told,since it was Sunday night, it was "pretty quite." I soon realized qafter qa few blocks you can get pretty much anything out of a sidewalk vending machine and EVERYTHING has cartoon eyes,bright colors and is flashing.
